Class & Private Ski lessons are available to enthusiasts at any age and ability level. Our staff utilizes the Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors curriculum. The lessons are divided according to our guest's age and skill level. A brief description of these levels are listed below.
This level is for our beginner skiers. Guests will learn the fundamentals needed to enjoy all of our beginner slopes and beginner lifts. The students will concentrate on getting to know their equipment, moving around on the flats, how to get up after a fall and how to successfully ski down the slopes under control using turn shape and stopping techniques.
Skiers in the Green Zone will develop turning skills to confidently graduate to more challenging terrain and lifts. The ski's will start to come together at the end of the turns and skiers will start to feel a carving sensation versus a more skidded turn. Learning to safely ride the chairlifts and ski under control is the priority here.
Letting the ski’s do the majority of the work here. Guests will focus their efforts on developing a parallel carved turn and graduate to the intermediate slopes and lifts. The terrain is more challenging and the speed increases with the slope of the hill. Students will begin to experience the sensation of the carving into the snow.
Skiers will have all the tools in place to venture outside their comfort zone. The Black Zone is an “all terrain, in any conditions clinic”. Bumps, jumps, freestyle terrain park, half-pipe and gates may be included in this student centered lesson.
