What is an Adventure Tour?
Our adventure tour puts adventurists in the Cannonsburg tree tops, zipping through terrain guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping.
Whether you’re a seasoned adrenaline junkie, or a first-timer, Cannonsburg’s adventure tour is perfect for everyone.
How much does it cost?
Our half-tours span 5-ziplines and cost just $30!
Our Full Adventure Tour span 10-ziplines, over a mile of zip lines and cost just $50!
How long does the Cannonsburg Adventure Tour take?
We ask that you plan at least 1.5 hours for your East or West Adventure Tour. Some tours may be shorter or longer, but this is an average. We encourage you to arrive fifteen minutes prior to the start of your tour in order to get geared up and with your guide.
For full tours, we ask that you plan for 2.5 hours and arrive 15-minutes early.
Who can go on Cannonsburg’s Adventure Tours?
Cannonsburg’s Canopy Tours are great for most, however we do require that participants be a minimum of 50lbs and no more than 275lbs.
There is minimal physical activity involved in the Adventure Tour, however guests must be able to walk on short dirt/sand paths as well as get on and off short ladders and climb up to ten stairs.
We ask that those with heart conditions, prone to dizziness, fainting, and other like medical conditions please refrain from zip lining.
We feel there is no person too old or too young to try zip lining!
How fast and long are your zip lines?
Our zip lines range from 300ft-600ft. Speed is dependent on weight, but we’ve clocked riders up to 40mph on our zip lines!
What if I’m afraid of heights?
A fear of heights is common, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy our zip lines! Zip lining is more of a forward motion than a downward motion, easing much of what causes a fear of heights.
Many with a slight fear of heights have absolutely no issues with zip lining, however we do not suggest those with an intense fear of heights participate.
What should I wear?
Most importantly, dress comfortably! We require close-toed shoes and request that you avoid loose clothing and accessories.
Short-shorts and skirts are also discouraged, as they can be uncomfortable while harnessed. Please dress for the weather, rain or shine! Hair longer than shoulder length must be pulled back.
We ask that you please leave valuables and loose items in your vehicle. Cannonsburg is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
Are cameras allowed?
You are allowed to bring a camera with you on your Adventure Tour, which can be secured to your harness. We ask that your camera have a strap. Cannonsburg is not responsible for damage caused to your camera during the Adventure Tour.
Do you rent GoPros?
We have helmet-mount GoPros available for tour rental for just $35. At the start of your tour, we will provide you with a short lesson in using a GoPro if needed. At the end of your tour, the 16gb MicroSD card is yours to take home!
Can I take pictures of my friends/family if I’m not doing the Canopy Tour?
There is no set walking trail associated with our Canopy Tour, so photos outside of the staging area are not encouraged.
What kind of equipment will I be using?
Every zipper will be equipped with a helmet, harness, trolley, and lanyards. Cannonsburg’s zip lines utilize zip stops, making it a completely hands free experience allowing you to enjoy your tour to the maximum!
Are reservations required?
We strongly recommend pre-booking your tour. Booking a reservation in advance guarantees you get the best time slot for you and your group. It also allows us to plan for group sizes. We discourage walk-ins, as we typically book tours 1-2 weeks in advance.
What if it rains?
Canopy tours run rain or shine. In the event of severe weather such as thunder and lightning or high winds, we will notify you of the cancellation of your tour and provide you with the option of a reschedule or full refund.
Can I zipline while pregnant?
No. Pregnant women will not be allowed to use our zip lines.
Should I tip my zip line tour guide?
Gratuity is strongly encouraged but not a requirement. Our employees are trained to ensure the most safe, exciting, educational and long-lasting good time at Cannonsburg.
