Designed to teach kids the foundations of racing.
The Cannonsburg Snow Cats is a junior development ski team for kids ages 8-14. This program is designed to teach kids the foundations of racing while having fun out on the slopes.
Led by coaches Bob Lett Jr. and Molly Ferrington, the team will practice every Sunday from 1:30pm-3:30pm. Kids on the team will also learn set-up and tear-down of the race course, along with other race fundamentals. In the event of long lift lines, the team will hike up the hill (strength training) and ski down to ensure maximum runs.

Hi, I’m coach Bob. I have been skiing since I was 2. I grew up on the east coast, on a mountain similar to Cannonsburg. I love ski racing and backcountry skiing. I spent 3 years teaching ages 3-12 in a variety of on hill programs. I also spent 4 seasons coaching race teams in NH and PA. I’m a dad of 3 active kiddos who love spending time on the snow as much as I do. My wife and I love to spend our free time outdoors as much as possible. I look forward to sharing my passion of skiing and racing with our next generation!

Hi! I’m Molly, I am an avid ski and snow sport enthusiast! I learned to ski here at Cannonsburg and a few hills up North. I spent my high school career racing for Forest Hills Central Ski Team. I raced for a few more years in college, while also instructing skiing to young children. I love instructing young people in a new skill. I am currently married to my only friend on a pow day, JJ. We said “I do” right here on this hill. We now have our own little mini shredder, Dodge, who is 2.5. I look forward to getting my race legs back under me and sharing my joy of racing with children.

Greetings ski enthusiasts!
I'm Alison and grew up skiing on West Michigan's slopes. I taught "Mighty Mites" in high school here at Cannonsburg, raced on Rockford's ski team and then participated in Ski Club at the University of Michigan. My love for skiing took me to Vail, Colorado after college to live the ski bum life for a season - which lasted 7 years! While in Colorado I achieved my PSIA Level 1, Level 2 and Children's Accreditation. Now back in Michigan, I've been teaching at Cannonsburg the last few years, and I'm excited to help coach the Snow Cats with my son as a participant. Fun facts - I've ridden the chairlift with Lindsey Vonn and spectated the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino. See you on the slopes!
