RULES & CODE OF CONDUCT

Lift Ticket/Punch Card & Season Pass Rules

  1. A valid lift ticket or season pass is required to access the hill.

  2. Punch cards are not considered a lift ticket. Punch card carriers must visit the ticket office during each visit to redeem a punch for a valid lift ticket. If the lift ticket office is closed in the rental building, please visit the front office in the main lodge.

  3. Crossing the bridge and using the hill without a valid lift ticket is considered trespassing. Anyone found trespassing will be charged double the lift ticket price OR law enforcement will be called. If you are unable to pay the fee, your gear may be confiscated and held until you are able to do so.

  4. Sharing season passes, lift tickets, and punch cards is strictly prohibited and will result in revocation of pass or lift ticket.

Safety responsibility Code 

  1. Always stay in control. You must be able to stop and/or avoid people or objects.

  2.  People ahead or downhill of you have the right-of-way. You must avoid them.

  3.  Stop only where you are visible from above and do not restrict traffic.

  4.  Look uphill and avoid others before starting downhill or entering a trail.

  5.  You must prevent runaway equipment. Absolutely NO SITTING on snowboards to ride down the hill. Loose snowboards on the hill are extremely dangerous and will result in immediate removal from the property.

  6.  Read and obey all signs, warnings, and hazard markings.

  7. Skiing and riding under fences, around fences, or on trails marked closed is strictly prohibited. Please obey trail signage and stay away from closed trails and areas marked closed. All riders must obey all trail signage.
  8.  You must know how and be able to load, ride and unload lifts safely. If you need assistance, ask the lift attendant.

  9.  Do not use lifts or terrain when impaired by alcohol or drugs.

  10.  If you are involved in a collision or incident, share your contact information with each other and a ski area employee.

Winter sports involve risk of serious injury or death. Your knowledge, decisions and actions contribute to your safety and that of others. If you need help understanding the Code, please ask any ski area employee.

Lift Safety

  1. Be familiar with the type of lift you are riding, and ask for help if you need it.

  2. Before loading, remove backpacks and secure loose items. Remove pole straps from wrists.

  3. Look over your shoulder to watch the chair approach.

  4. Sit all the way in the chair, with your back to the seat rest.

  5. Absolutely NO intentional swinging, bouncing or jumping from chair lifts. These actions will result in immediate removal from property.
  6. Be aware of your surroundings while riding the lift. If you drop something, let it fall! You can always ask the ski patrol for help retrieving the lost item.

  7. As you approach the top terminal, prepare to dismount. Look for signs advising you to do so to help with your timing.

Hill Etiquette & Code of Conduct

  1. Please be courteous and respectful to ALL  guests at ALL times. Profanity, bullying, harassment, racial slurs, intimidation and/or creating a hostile environment WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and will result in revocation of season pass/punch pass/lift ticket. Law enforcement will be contacted if deemed necessary and hill access will be taken away for the remainder of the season and can result in permanent banning from property.

  2. Destruction of property will result in revocation of season pass/lift ticket and potential banning from property. Law enforcement will be contacted if deemed necessary.

  3. Follow rules and direction from Cannonsburg employees and Cannonsburg ski patrol at all times.

  4. Vaping is NOT allowed indoors and Drugs are NOT allowed on the premises.

  5. Throwing snowballs on the chairlift, or at people riding the chairlift, is prohibited.
  6. Valid lift tickets are required to use the hill at all times! Please present your lift ticket to an attendant on the bridge. If an attendant is not on the bridge, you must still have a valid lift ticket OR season pass on you at all times.
  7. Sharing season passes, lift tickets, and punch cards is strictly prohibited and will result in revocation of pass or lift ticket.
